MMR vaccination overview in European countries

N.B. Unless otherwise stated in the footnotes below, each colour represents time period at which one MMR vaccine dose is recommended.

MMR 1 is given not earlier than 11 months of age. MMR 2 is given 28 days after the first dose. Catch-up programme for those unvaccinated given at 7-16 years.

Catch-up programme at 5-7 years for MMR 1 and 14-16 years for MMR 2.

For children in day-care: MMR 1 at the age of 9 months and MMR 2 at 12-15 months of age.

Minimal interval of 4 weeks between MMR 1 and MMR 2 is required.

MMR 2 or catch-up dose given at 5-15 years.

Catch-up vaccination to all previously unvaccinated females.
(7)
Children born before 2002 receive second dose at 12 years, children born in 2002 or later at age 6-8 years.

MMR 2 is given at 3 years 4 months to 5 years.
